Not the original but the next best thing!
Sadly the original factory in Holland has had to close its production of the Delft Blue Plate (& Tile) after over 60 years. However, we have sourced this substitute through another local factory owned by a former employee.
Please be aware that there are a few differences that we have tried to show in the illustrations. It is slightly different in tone & depth of blue; the plate is ‘flatter’ and slightly thicker; the hanger at the back attached differently; and the image has had to be re-originated, so varies very slightly.
However, most importantly, all the same birth details are still expertly hand-painted in a unique Northern European script before glazing and firing in the Delft ceramic style in The Netherlands and despatched directly to you by Airmail.
Please note that the Name, Date & Place of birth are all painted in the same inner ring of the plate. We do not place particularly short character limits on the individual information fields, but we ask you to bear the overall amount of personalisation that you provide in mind when completing your order – please enter information as you would like it shown. In rare cases we may have to edit the information slightly.
The plate measures 16cm in diameter and comes complete with a hanging hook.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high demand and lengthy production schedule for this product, delivery can sometimes take 12 weeks in peak sales & holiday periods. However, normal delivery time is 8 weeks, so please feel free to contact us if your plate has not been received after 8 weeks. It, of course, will probably take longer in this unique period we find ourselves in – please be patient
As per our terms & conditions we cannot replace goods if delivery outside the EU and the parcel fails to be delivered or items are damaged or missing. Customers place orders at their own risk.
Due to production variables, we are unable to accept orders contingent upon a delivery date – but we are sure that you will find that the plate is well worth the wait.
